The Early Childhood Teacher is a critical member of the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center team, using Head Start, Early Head Start, and Creative Curriculum® to enhance the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of children through play and hands-on experiences. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will develop individualized lesson plans and meet with parents to support the best outcomes for your students. Candidate qualifications:

• Associate’s of Arts Degree Child Development or related field with eighteen (18) hours of Early Childhood Education credit required. 
• Gateways Early Childhood Education Level 4 credential required. 
• Strongly believe that social skills, self-regulation, and emotional development are just as important as reading and math readiness in successfully preparing children for kindergarten.
• Enjoy working collaboratively with a team to reach shared goals.

(Candidates without the required degree/credentials may be considered with an approved educational plan)

• Compensation: Range starts at $42,000, offers are commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: $2,000 Hiring Bonus (payable after 60 days of employment, limited time offer).
• Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off per year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure; 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here).
• Location: Classroom setting Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center (725 East Schaumburg Road Schaumburg, IL 60194) 
• Schedule: Full-time, salaried; center is open Mon-Fri, 7:30am-5:30pm; assigned shifts will vary.
• Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
